Before there were podcasts, there was Big World Radio—and somewhere in the chaos of broadcast deadlines and bad coffee, Chris and Costello met behind the mic.
Chris was the boss. Costello was the wildcard.
Naturally… Chris fired him. 😬
Years (and several career meltdowns) later, the two reunited—not with apologies, but with hot takes, dark humor, and zero interest in playing it safe. The result? The Cancelled Radio Guys—a weekly dive into pop culture, current events, and the bizarre beauty of everyday nonsense, all served with biting wit and the kind of chemistry you only get from a guy who fired the other—and now can’t get rid of him..
This show is for anyone who’s ever said “Wait, can they say that?”

Meet Your Hosts
Radio big shot back in the ’80s and 90’s, from the east coast to Texas where he was shot at !… They missed! A genuine programming wizard, Chris was responsible for many radio stations reaching number #1 in their markets. “Radio is something you just can’t leave really, it’s a passion, you dream about it, usually a nightmare!”.
Chris has a rapier wit…that has gotten him into a lot of trouble over the years and canceled more than once, so Podcasting is perfect, no FCC to worry about, he can now give Costello the tongue-lashing without fear of retaliation or vent his feelings on oh so many topics!
Costello only has one name…Chris Bailey plucked him from obscurity about 30 years ago and put him on the air, giving him his pocket money and regular insults on his wardrobe. Costello is from the UK and has quite the track record, loosely referred to as his career, from working with punk rock stars in the late ’70s / early ’80s, air talent at many a radio station, and ending up in Las Vegas for 30 years.
Interestingly, both Chris and Costello lived in Las Vegas Nevada at the same time but had no idea either were there, it wasn’t until 2020 that Costello then living in Texas called Chris up after 30+ years and got back in contact, and plans were hatched to relive their Radio collaboration cut short by Chris firing Costello after he (and a few friends) threw a cream pie in Chris’s ex’ wife’s face some 30 years ago! Yeah very funny huh!
